Salmon River is the longest free-flowing river that heads and flows within a single state. You can travel 3,100 miles of rives in Idaho, and visit the deepest river gorge in North America, Hells Canyon. It is 7,900 feet deep, which is deeper than the Grand Canyon. Above the Canyon is Heaven’s Gate Lookout where you can see the entire state of Idaho plus the Bitterroot Mountains in Montana.
If you think that moving here means you are settling in the state that produces the largest number of potatoes, you are only one forth right. Idaho is also the top producer of lentils, winter peas, and trout.
Idaho is also known as the gem state. It produces 72 types of precious and semi-precious stones. The Emerald Creek Garnet Area provides opportunities for harvesting star garnets. A permit is issued for visitors who wish to dig.
If you are going to settle in Idaho you will be resettling in a state that borders Canada and six US states – Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Montana.
