Giving Back

At Morse Van Lines we think it is important to give back to the community that we are a part of. There is much that we do to give back locally to be a part of what makes Painesville a great place to work and visit. Our owner Pam Morse sits on the board of several organizations such as the Downtown Painesville Organization, Lake Erie College, Lifeline, Painesville Community Improvement Corporation and is involved in many others including the Western Reserve Junior Service League. Pam’s employees also believe in giving back to the community and participate in many of the events in Painesville.

Lifeline strengthens the community by offering programs and opportunities for our residents to achieve self-sufficiency
In the fall of 2014 the schools in Painesville collected donations for Forbes House, a domestic violence shelter. Morse Van Lines not only was a collection point for food and shelter donations but we supplied 2 movers and a truck of ours on two different occasions to bring the items to them. The children at the schools collected donations and brought them to our trucks, these were great days for Morse Van Lines and Forbes House
Each winter the City of Painesville has a chili cook off and we happily enter annually hoping to win the title of best chili. This year we placed for best chili and are happy to support this event which is open to the public
The Downtown Painesville Organization is a non-profit group dedicated to bringing back the historic main street and revitalizing the entire city. At Morse Van Lines we are excited to put our talents to use with this fabulous organization. We help plant thousands of bulbs each year to help beautify the city, we have sold poinsettia’s and daffodil’s in which the funds support the purchase of bulbs, we participate in the yearly holiday open house, sit on multiple committees and do what we can to support the city.

One additional opportunity we give our fellow merchants is a monthly merchant meeting. Each month we host a merchant meeting for business owners in Painesville. We get together to discuss what is happening in our city and how we can best work together to continue the growth and excitement that we see. If you are a business owner and would like to attend the merchant meetings please let us know so we can get you all of the important information.
